wish they could ACTUALLY take me to the moon

Okay, moment of truth. What do you think about these snow moon boots?

Now, I am not much of a snow skier [more of a water skiing kinda gal], but I have been invited to go skiing for the holidays. I have no fashionable ski clothes at all, just the crazy 80's business my mom has stashed in the attic. I need to get some snow clothes pronto. Help!

Stumbled into these interesting boots at Nordstrom Rack.  They are called the Snugger Snow boot by FitFlop. They are supposed to be those kind of shoes where you get a workout while you walk, but at least they don't have that goofy look. Reviews online have said these boots are pretty waterproof, so that sounds nice. But I am just not 100% sold.
